Brenda Moore is the secretary of the NP Concert Band.  Beginning with piano lessons at the age of five, music participation and appreciation  has always been a major enjoyment in her life.  She also began playing trombone at the age of 12 with her high school band.  She had a dual major in music and education at Frostburg state College in Western Maryland.  She married after college, became a career high scvhool teacher and raised two boys.  She recently has begun teaching her three grandchildren piano (actually it is called keyboard these days).  She spent summers at her home in Southern Maryland and winters in Port Charlotte.  While in Maryland, she participates in several musical groups including a "big band swing group" that she helped organize.  While in Florida, she participates in the North Port and Port Charlotte Bands, and with the Sun Soast Wind Ensemble.
